About

Briana Torres is a third-year student at Northeastern University studying Computer Science and Design. As a proud Latina of Ecuadorian and Nicaraguan descent, she is dedicated to her personal mission of increasing Hispanic participation in computer science. She serves as the Academic Chair for the Northeastern chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, where she organizes weekly study sessions. These sessions create a supportive environment for minority students to collaborate and excel in their academic and coding endeavors. Briana recently completed a co-op at Zoba as a software engineer, a Boston-based startup backed by Mark Cuban and CRV. At Northeastern, she takes on the role of a software engineer for Generate, a student-run product development studio, and serves as a Teaching Assistant for CS 1200.

Briana is working on the MassHealth Policy Hub project.
