About

Etta Brooks holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Psychology from Augustana College, Illinois. She is now pursuing a Master’s in Applied Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis at Northeastern University, with a focus on Computational Social Science. Etta’s experience includes managing the Africa Global Initiative and leading as the co-founder and president of the African Graduate Students Association at Northeastern. Her passion lies in using research and technology to address key social issues, with a special focus on community development, inter-government relations, gender equality, and education.

Etta is working on the AI-EP project, which uses generative AI to translate and summarize a family’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
