About

Kane Xu is a senior at Northeastern University, majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Psychology. He has a strong passion for education and technology and is dedicated to developing advanced software solutions for marginalized communities. This includes creating generative AI chatbots to assist non-native-speaking parents with IEPs and developing AR plugins to support ESL learners in online education. Beyond these pursuits, Kane enjoys attending game jams, playing chess and reading historical literature. 

Kane’s academic focus lies in cognitive neuroscience and psychology, particularly in understanding mental health disorders. He aims to explore the neural intricacies and cognitive mechanisms of these conditions to improve support systems. Kane Xu’s expertise in social work and artificial intelligence drives his commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and communities.
