Masterclass Series – Solving Public Problems: Innovation for the Workforce Ecosystem

This Masterclass will be facilitated by Beth Noveck, PhD. Dr. Noveck is New Jersey’s first Chief Innovation Officer and professor at Northeastern University, where she directs the Burnes Center for Social Change and its partner project, The Governance Lab (The GovLab) and its MacArthur Research Network on Opening Governance. She is the author of Solving Public Problems: How to Fix Our Government and Change Our World (Yale Press 2021), named a Best Book of 2021 by Stanford Social Innovation Review.

Dr. Noveck will be joined by Seth Harris, a Distinguished Professor of Practice at Northeastern University and a Senior Fellow at the Burnes Center for Social Change and The GovLab. Prior to joining Northeastern University, Professor Harris was the Deputy Assistant to the President for Labor and the Economy and Deputy Director of the Biden White House’s National Economic Council.

This Masterclass course consists of three 3-hour virtual sessions that include lectures and facilitated group activities. It is ideal for participants to attend all three sessions.

(Note: This course is designed for executive and management level leaders from NASWA member agencies, WIOA state agency partners, and workforce board executive staff.)
