About

Swaapnika is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Information Systems with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at Northeastern University. She is passionate about building intelligent, scalable AI systems and enjoys applying AI across a wide range of domains to solve complex real-world problems. Her interests include machine learning, generative AI, data engineering, and responsible AI development, with a strong focus on creating systems that are both impactful and ethically designed. 

She brings hands-on experience across the full AI lifecycle, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and large language models. Swaapnika has worked as a Generative AI Intern at Perficient, where she built conversational AI systems, LLM-powered workflows, and knowledge-graph-based question-answering solutions. She previously served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University for AI Engineering & Applications, supporting students in designing end-to-end, production-ready AI pipelines. She also gained industry experience at Hewlett-Packard, where she worked on deep learning models and secure, cloud-based AI systems. 

Outside of her academic and professional work, Swaapnika enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and playing basketball. She values collaboration, continuous learning, and working with people from diverse backgrounds, and is always excited to explore creative and meaningful applications of artificial intelligence.
