AI For Impact Co-Op

About

Manan is a Computer Science student at Northeastern University with strong interests in artificial intelligence, software engineering, and building technology that creates meaningful social impact. Some of his experiences include working as a Software Consulting Intern at Ernst & Young, where he built an AI-driven RAG dashboarding tool and a fully offline Generative AI system using the Mistral model. He also serves as a peer tutor at Northeastern, helping students understand core CS concepts such as data structures and discrete logic.

Manan is passionate about applying Generative AI to real-world public-sector challenges and is especially interested in how AI systems can improve government workflows, accessibility, and service delivery. He has built projects spanning AI-powered document processing, chatbot design, full-stack development, and automation, and he hopes to leverage these experiences to contribute to the Burnes Center for Social Change through responsible, human-centered AI.

Outside of academics and project work, Manan enjoys playing soccer, traveling, exploring new cultures, and playing electric guitar and drums. He also loves following fintech trends, Formula 1, and the intersection of AI and public innovation.
