About
Mariana Villamizar holds an MFA in Information Design and Data Visualization, alongside degrees in Systems and Computing Engineering and Visual Communication Design. Her work sits at the intersection of design and technology, focused on how information design can strengthen communities, support democratic participation, and promote human rights. She has worked with public, nonprofit, and academic organizations in Colombia and the United States. At Northeastern University, she contributed research to the Khoury Visualization Lab and supported the City of Boston with its Participatory Budgeting process.
