About
John Basl is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Northeastern University and an Associate Director of the Northeastern Ethics Institute. He works in AI ethics and moral philosophy with a special focus on helping to develop ethics tools and operationalizations to manage AI systems and increasing the capacity for managing the social and ethical issues raised by AI.
He is co-ethics lead of the National Internet Observatory and Co-PI of the NSF-funded Summer Training Program to Expand the AI and Data Ethics Research Community.
